Mid-America Blasting Conference

Th e 16th Mid-America Blasting Conference is offered to provide the opportunity for individuals in the blasting industry to attend an educational, career development forum. The conference is sponsored by three chapters of the International Society of Explosive Engineers: Heartland, Mississippi Valley, and the Missouri S&T Student Chapter. The conference will feature a golf outing, exhibitor reception, lunch, awards reception, exhibits and numerous presentations with topics of interest to field blasters.

General

The Mid-America Blasting Conference brings together field blasters, drilling & blasting experts, government regulators and industry organizations. It offers the opportunity to learn through formal talks, to meet fellow blasters during informal receptions and breaks, and have individual discussions with tech reps, regulatory personnel, and consultants. The conference satisfies requirements for 8 hour refresher for both the State of Missouri and State of Kansas blaster’s licenses. Attendance at all presentations will be required.

Exhibits (Booths include 2 x 110v outlets & WiFi)

Numerous suppliers of products and services will have exhibits set up during the conference. This will provide an excellent opportunity to see the latest technology being offered to the industry. Exhibit space may be reserved on the Heartland ISEE website at www.heartlandblast.org. Each space accommodates one 10’ x 8’ display. The cost is $375.00 per space and includes one

Hotel Reservations

The event will be held at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri. Hotel reservations are the responsibility of the attendee. A block of rooms has been set aside at the special rate of $ 112.00 plus tax (Group Code: BLST). The reserved block of rooms will be released on September 7 so please make your reservation as soon as possible by calling 1-800-826-8272. Registration

Registration can be made through the conference website at www.heartlandblast.org. The registration fee of $ 130.00 includes admission to the exhibitor reception on Wednesday evening, lunch and the awards banquet & silent auction on Thursday and admission to all papers and exhibits. The registration fee does not include the room rate. Payment by credit card through the Heartland ISEE
website at www.heartlandblast.org is preferred. We will also be able to take credit cards, checks and cash at the location. The conference will not invoice afterward. It is not necessary to fill out and mail in the Advanced Registration Form if paying by credit card through the website.
